Pure Bramble Cobbler

During crisp walks in Autumn woods, and admiring the rich colours of turning foliage, forage a handful of brambles from the hedgerows along the path. Blackberries are the perfect accompaniment for this delicious Bramble Cobbler that shines with the citrus aromas of our Pure Rosé wine.

To quote the OG Mixologist in his 1862 Bar-Tenders Guide, “A garnish of berries or wedges of fruit is essential to the Cobbler” Jerry Thomas continues, “to make it acceptable to the eye, as well as to the palate, it is necessary to display some taste in ornamenting the glass after the beverage is made.”

  • 50ml Mirabeau Pure Rosé
  • 15ml Crème de Mure
  • 15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 10ml Simple Syrup (optional)

Shake together all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, then strain into a Collins glass Tumbler filled with crushed ice. Garnish with fresh Brambles (aka Blackberries), mint leaves and some cracked black pepper. If you like it a little sweeter add 10ml of Simple Syrup before shaking.

We’re delighted to have created this recipe in collaboration with ETO Decanter Cup. Its innovative, patented design prevents oxidation, to preserve your wine’s full flavour until you’re ready for another glass.
