Introducing the Mirabeau Dry Rosé Gin Garden

The experience of anyone visiting Domaine Mirabeau is of great importance to our team. Even though the picturesque surrounding of Bastide and Mas farmhouses is unbeatable, we constantly ask ourselves how we can make the visitors’ stay at our vineyard even more memorable.

In addition to the award-winning wines, Maison Mirabeau is also known for our Dry Rosé Gin. The inspiration for all the key botanicals included in our gin is drawn from our stunningly beautiful home region. Seven core botanicals macerate in the alcohol for 24 hours, while five more Riviera-inspired botanicals are suspended in a basket for the vapours to pass through and take on further flavour during the distillation process.

To visualise these botanicals, we decided to turn the ancient vegetable garden into the Mirabeau Dry Rosé Gin Garden at the beginning of this year. The beautiful garden allows our visitors to experience the wonderful aromas of bay leaf, thyme, jasmine, lavender, coriander, rosemary, lemon, grapefruit, juniper, and rose bushes. All these carefully chosen plants are the ingredients that give Mirabeau Dry Rosé Gin its unique and delicate flavour, imbued with Provençal aromas.

To minimise our impact on the ecosystem, we collaborated with eco-responsible partners and chose recycled materials, such as wood chips from a local sawmill for the ground cover. Because water is precious, especially here in Provence, we are currently working on a rainwater recycling system to water the gin garden in a more sustainable way.
