Lindsay’s Feast: Christmas Spiced Gin Punch

What better way to celebrate Christmas than with a spiced gin punch. I often make the base for this cocktail with all the ingredients except the soda and ice, and then keep it in the fridge until I’m ready. This allows the cinnamon and star anise to infuse into the gin. When guests arrive I throw in the ice and pour over the soda and serve straight away. Cheers!


  • 2 parts gin
  • 1 part blackberry cordial
  • 1 part lemon juice
  • Sliced orange
  • Sliced plums
  • Blackberries
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Star anise
  • Ice
  • Soda water


Muddle all the ingredients, except the soda, together in a large jug or punch bowl. Pour in the soda water, mix well and adjust to taste.
