Mirabeau 2017- tasting notes

As you already know 2017 was an exceptional year in terms of weather, a hot, dry and windy spring and summer resulted in a very small crop. Luckily that small crop was of really good quality and has given us some excellent base wines to play with and assemble.  We feel the characters of each wine are especially pronounced this year and the colours are beautiful and naturally pale.  Here are the more detailed tasting notes from us and our oenology team.

Mirabeau Classic

With its delectable raspberry pink hues and intense aromas, expressive red berry fruit remains the essence of this rosé. Mirabeau Classic has a beautiful concentration, with strawberry and raspberry flavours taking centre stage, balanced by fresh acidity and leading to a sumptuous finish with notes of redcurrant. A perfect aperitif for an alfresco moment, it’s also great with flavoursome food, or drink it as we do in Provence, anytime and with almost anything!

Mirabeau Pure

An ethereal pale-pink colour with silver reflections, this wine honours its name with beautiful clarity and a beguiling nose of citrus, grapefruit and a hint of lychee.  Mirabeau Pure’s hallmark is a pronounced mineral structure enveloped by elegant wild strawberry and citrus flavours, with a refreshing and refined character.  A lingering, beautiful finish will leave you wanting a second glass of this perfect example of good winemaking from Provence. A lovely bottle for any occasion that calls for something a little special or as a gastronomic partner to delicate food.

Mirabeau Etoile

A stunning lychee coloured rosé with subtle silver reflections, this wine is elegant and refined. Etoile presents beautifully on the nose, defined by the delicate aromas of white peach and sublime floral notes. This well crafted wine is appealingly silky and round, majoring on stone fruit and citrus flavours, with a concentrated, lingering finish. A gastronomic rosé  for moments of unadulterated enjoyment and the perfect accompaniment to fine food, where its defined structure will thoroughly shine.

I hope this gave you a first glimpse of what to expect, but we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to share your tasting experience, either on social-Facebook, Instagram and Twitter- or by sending us a mail.
